  1. +1 from me too, I would enjoy playing it.
  2. Owch - 125mm tank shells hurt! Here's some useful examples of the settings i'm talking about. Picture 1 - With usual client settings - Picture 2 - With reduced foliage/grass - You can see in the 2nd picture how it would be much easier to spot a vehicle up in the hills with the reduced foliage/trees obstructing the view. I suspect it was this plus a bit of accurate shooting that lead to the events described in your post.
  3. I can't say for certain, but I imagine this will be either be down to: 1) Client Foliage settings: Under Configure -> Video there are sections to modify the rendering of foliage, usually a setting between ARMA3's default render, ArmA2, AO, etc. Whilst this shouldn't have a major impact, I wonder if this is causing the grass/bush to be rendered differently on their client to yours. 2) Client draw distance/render settings: Potentially by modifying the sliders for object, foliage and draw distance you could make it easier to spot vehicles at long range or hiding behind some forms of cover. 3) Server player menu settings - Similar to point two, the draw distance can be modified via the "player menu" on scroll wheel options, this could also be tweaked to make long distance shots easier. In conclusion, there is no definite answer. You may find it was just a lucky shot, or that the tank had correctly zero'd his sight so that the round had the correct ballistic trajectory to go over the brow of the hill and land on your vehicle. Hope this helps.
  4. Without echoing what others said above in terms of official rules, I want to point out that whenever you believe that someone is playing unfairly, you should aim to do two things: 1) Verify with an admin if the player is indeed breaking the rules. 2) If he is, report the player through official channels. 3) If he isn't, send some group invites in game and work together as a team to kill the player camping in a vehicle. To be honest, maybe you just had a bad night and it got to you, and that's OK. Let it rest, have a brew and try again today
  5. Firstly, please try the following: - Full reboot of PC - Full reboot of router/modem. - Connecting an ethernet cable to the PC rather than connecting via WiFi (If applicable.) Then re-try, if still having issues, try the following: - Open a command prompt by pressing Windows key + R on your keyboard - Type "ping 8.8.8.8 -t" and allow this to run. Check the response time (measured in milliseconds, or ms), if these are regularly over 100, or if you get "Request timed out" often, these could be indications of packet loss on your line. - If there is noticable drops, then contact your ISP to have your line to the exchange checked. Please report back if still having issues and I can try help further.
  6. If there is a user with the same name ingame as you it typically allows you to connect but adds a (2) to the end of your name (I see this often with players using common first-names) - the error you are getting usually occurs when you attempt to connect, but the game freezes/crashes and then still leaves your session in a "connecting" state, thus kicking you because you are technically already connected. In my experience, this usually clears up within 5 minutes or so, so give it a few minutes and retry and you should connect just fine.
  7. I agree with this. personally, I throw an invite to everyone not in a group when I join a side and try create a big group of players. It's a great way to get a large group going and communicating with one another.
  8. In-Game Name Firesilver Age 25 Steam ID 76561197985534666 Will you use Team Speak? Yes What C4G servers do you play on? EU#4, EU#5 mainly. Why do you want to join the C4G community? Making quite a lot of steam friends from playing a lot on the servers and enjoying the social aspect of KOTH. C4G tends to retain players that use voice comms/tactics and friendly so I enjoy playing here more than other KOTH servers. Are there any admins or members of codefourgaming that might be willing to vouch for you? TBC What's your favourite weapon/vehicle/playstyle? AK12 with RCO is my go-to, tend to prefer playing Infantry, if you do find me in a vehicle it would probably be a M2 Slammer or BTK. Have you been banned from CodeFourGaming servers or other king of the hill communities before? No. unit warning
