Blackfoot/Kaj balancing suggestion

Recommended Posts

Recently the view distance was dropped for helicopters in certain vehicle servers. However, this kinda makes things onesided as the tigris can see the blackfoot before they even know they are there, making the fight very one-sided. This gives the Tigris a good window of opportunity to gun down the gunship, causing the blackfoot/kaj to have little chance now. However, to stop inf. rape with wire guiding single infantry targets and quad bikes, thermals could be removed from both gunships.  It would also make it more difficult for the helicopter to seek out enemy armor and inf, instead of just doing a quick scan and finding both within seconds. This way it would increase the skill level of having to actually see your target instead of "Oh hey there's this thing on my thermals lets shoot at it.". This may be a good compromise between the two sides of the argument. A good reference for effect would be the removal of thermals from the Y-32 Xian, this reduced the overall problem of air vs ground combat being one-sided.

Hey

Removing thermals from gunships and reverting the draw distance back to 4k would still enable it to abuse the max reach of the the tig, which is 3600 or something of the sort.

It is a fair fight right now, and it’s not hard avoiding getting killed by tigs if you pay attention to where they are and dont get caught by surprise. At the same time, hitting a gunship going more than 100kmt from 3000 out with a tig is hard and if they move around a slight bit it’s even harder.

But it’s definitely harder being in a blackfoot/kajman now. You need to pay close attention to AA, and you can’t sit at 3800, out of the tigs reach, to kill them. It requires tactics and levels out the playing field for those two vehicles imo.
